This is a magnificent 1960s Venetian freeform starfish glass sculpture bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by the Cristallo Venezia CCC glassworks, this heavy sculptural bowl features an extraordinary multi-lobed organic form that resembles a stylised starburst or starfish when viewed from above. It features an abstract shape and a glossy finish.
 
 This mid-century modern piece reflects the style of the 1960s with a touch of modern charm. This is a showstopper in every way and size.
The piece expertly showcases the famous Venetian sommerso technique, in a stunning combination of light blue / light lavender pinkish clear glass, which is further encased in clear glass. With its giant heavy four-arm prongs double encased in clear glass, the dramatic points or lobes curve elegantly upward and outward, beautifully capturing and refracting natural light. It is a truly one-of-a-kind example of fine vintage Italian craftsmanship.
