Up for sale is an exceptional, collector-grade piece of vintage Italian art glass: a mid-century modern Sommerso faceted geometric block vase, hand-crafted on the island of Murano, Venice, circa 1960s.
 
This striking vase is designed in the iconic style popularized by Flavio Poli and masterfully executed by the renowned furnace of Alessandro / Luigi Mandruzzato. It features a heavy, thick-walled clear crystal exterior utilising the traditional Sommerso (submerged) technique to suspend a moody, smoky-grey glass core perfectly in the centre. The geometric silhouette is sharply diamond-faceted, catching and refracting light beautifully from every angle.
 
Features its original, perfectly preserved multi-language export sticker on the front reading: "Cristallo Lavorato A Mano / Hand Cut Crystal / Handgeblasenes Glas / Made in Murano". This sticker provides immediate, indisputable proof of authenticity and production era.
